IMMEDIATE RELEASE –Ammonia-free hair color? That’s so 2011. Twenty-five years ago, Farouk Shami was the first to introduce what is now the latest craze—ammonia-free hair color. But the “CHI Man” didn’t stop there. Beginning in 2012, Farouk will take CHI Ionic Permanent Shine Hair Color to the next environmental level with the introduction of the nation’s first professional ammonia-free hair color formulated without Paraphenylenediamine (PPD). PPD is a chemical substance used in permanent hair color and has been cited to produce severe allergic reactions in some clients. According to the BBC, doctors in the United Kingdom believe an allergic reaction resulting from PPD is likely the cause behind a 38 year old mother of two slipping into a coma after using a hair color believed to contain PPD (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-15828266). Most recently, PPD has been credited as the possible cause of multiple myeloma, acute leukemia, bladder cancer and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which has been cited as the possible cause of death for the late Jacqueline Kennedy. To eliminate these risks and ensure a safer salon atmosphere, Farouk Systems will be introducing the revamped CHI Ionic Color. The sleek packaging will call out key new ingredients, and shades/mixing instructions will be 100% compatible with existing formulas to ensure a smooth transition

Kim started using the CHI colours when they first came out then later by using the Organic hair  products on her clients she  know she is not putting damaging chemicals on their scalp. She only want the best for herself and  clients because we are worth it. Our health and well-being is very important. If you don't have your health you can't live the life you want. She want to be healthy so she can live a long happy and prosperous life. When you are happy and positive wonderful things happen.

A lot of clients if they had a choice would want an ammonia free professional colour put on their scalp to cover gray hair.  Our largest organ is our skin. When using bleach or perms you are breathing in those toxic fumes. A lot of hairstylists don't realize how vulnerable they are by using these toxic chemicals.

You can tell a lot about a person's health from their hair and skin. Kim had to start looking for toxic  free products to bring into her home and her hair studio   because of her health and family's health.  Be careful even if products say they are organic, natural  or  hyper allergenic are they really chemical free and non toxic? An organic product, to be truly organic, has to be certified.
